Patented BLUE-TEC Coating and Inverted Cone Geometry (Shape N / WKN)

Karnasch’s exclusive BLUE-TEC surface treatment provides extreme surface hardness and an ultra-low coefficient of friction, which prevents the cutting edge from overheating and becoming dull when working with hard alloys. Its inverted cone (Shape N / WKN) geometric profile allows access to recessed corners and intersections at right or acute angles—areas that cylindrical or spherical burrs cannot reach. Combined with the cross tooth HP-3 (HP-3-CUT), it breaks the chip into extremely short segments, ensuring balanced running (smooth running) on pneumatic and high-frequency grinding machines.

Technical Specifications

• Field of Application: All ferrous and non-ferrous materials:

  • Carbon, alloyed and treated steels up to 60 HRC.

  • Stainless steels (A2, A4, AISI 304, 316).

  • Refractory alloys (nickel-based, Inconel, titanium).

  • Gray and nodular cast iron.

  • Non-ferrous metals (copper, brass, bronze).

• Compatible Equipment: Pneumatic die grinders, portable electric grinders, flexible-shaft motors (micro-motors), and CNC machining centers.

• Operating Conditions: It is recommended to operate at high rotational speeds (RPM), adjusted according to the head diameter (6 mm), to maximize the material removal rate and extend the service life of the BLUE-TEC coating.
