Rutile-Type E316L-16 Formulation and Anti-Corrosion Protection for Marine and Food-Industry Applications
Solter Stainless Steel Electrode Blister Packs (Ø2.0 mm - Ref. 05964 and Ø2.5 mm - Ref. 05974) are designed for MMA welding of 316L-type austenitic stainless steels, providing high resistance to intergranular corrosion at temperatures up to 450 °C. Their rutile coating ensures a stable arc with minimal spatter, smooth striking, and self-detaching slag. They offer excellent ductility (elongation >30%) and mechanical strength (>490 N/mm²). Supplied in blister packs of 10 units, they retain their technical properties and ensure professional-grade welding for demanding sectors such as the food, marine, or pharmaceutical industries.
Key Features:
- E316L-16 type stainless steel electrodes with a rutile coating, designed for MMA welding of Cr-Ni-Mo steels.
- High corrosion resistance, particularly against pitting and intergranular corrosion at temperatures up to 450 °C.
- Supplied in blister packs of 10 units for optimal preservation; available in Ø2.0 mm (Ref. 05964) and Ø2.5 mm (Ref. 05974).
- Recommended amperage range:
• Ø2.0 mm: 35–60 A
• Ø2.5 mm: 70–100 A
Compatible with DC+ or AC power sources. - Stable, spatter-free arc, with smooth ignition/re-ignition and excellent weld bead control.
- Self-detaching slag and a smooth finish with uniform ripples—ideal for precision work and extended welding tasks.
- Certified mechanical properties: tensile strength >490 N/mm² and elongation >30%, with high toughness even at low temperatures.
- Complies with international standards: AWS A5.4 and EN ISO 3581-A; suitable for applications in the chemical, marine, and food industries.
