4.FIRST AID MEASURES

INHALATION: Remove from exposure, rest and keep warm. Seek medical aid
INGESTION: DO NOT induce vomiting. Wash mouth with water or milk. Give milk to drink. Beware of aspiration if vomiting occurs. If aspiration (inhalation of liquid into the lungs) is suspected or occurs, get immediate medical help.
SKIN: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash well with soap and plenty of water. If irritation develops, seek medical aid. Seek medical aid
EYES: Flush with clean water immediately for 5 minutes. Seek medical aid.

4. MEDIDAS DE PRIMEROS AUXILIOS

INHALACI ON: Salir de la exposición, descansar y mantener caliente. Buscar ayuda médica.
INGESTION: NO INDUCIR AL VÓMITO. Enjuagar, aclarar la boca con agua o leche. Beber leche. Vigilar la respiración si se produce el vómito. Si se sospecha que se ha producido aspiración (inhalación del líquido en los pulmones) buscar ayuda médica INMEDIATAMENTE.
PIEL: Retirar la ropa contaminada y lavar con abundante agua y jabón. Si se produce irritación buscar ayuda médica. Buscar ayuda médica.
OJOS: Lavar los ojos con abundante agua limpia durante 5 minutos. Buscar ayuda medica.

SPILLAGE: Absorb liquid in absorbent clay granules.

PRECAUCIONES PERSONALES: Aviso importante NO FUMAR y NO LLAMAS DIRECTAS. Aislar las fuentes de calor eléctricas. Los vertidos pueden presentar un peligro de resbalones.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

Avoid inhaling the vapour and contact with skin and eyes. Avoid sources of ignition. Store in clean, dry conditions in temperatures 5 – 300C.

Evitar inhalar el vapor y el contacto con piel y ojos. Evitar fuentes de calor. Guardar en lugar limpio, seco y con temperaturas entre 5 - 30º C.

 

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION

Occupational exposure limited: White Spirit 8 hr TWA 100 ppm, 10 min ref-period 125 ppm (EH 40/94).
Local exhaust ventilation is recommended. All equipment must be electrically grounded. Use flameproof equipment and isolate all potential sources of ignition.
Personal protection: Wear impervious (PVC) gloves, eye protection and plastic apron. Remove contaminated clothing immediately.

8. CONTROL DE LA EXPOSICIÓN Y PROTECCION PERSONAL

Límite máximo de exposición: White Spirit 8 hr TWA 100 ppm, 10 mínimo ref-período 125 ppm (EH 40/94). Se recomienda una ventilación adecuada. Todo el equipamiento eléctrico debe ir bajo tierra. Usar equipamiento a prueba de llamas y aislar las fuentes potenciales de calor.
Protección personal: Usar guantes (PVC) impermeables, protección en los ojos y delantal plástico. Quitarse la ropa contaminada inmediatamente.

10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY

Stable at normal temperatures. Flash point 400C min. Keep away from sources of ignition and maintain temperature range 5 - 300C. Avoid strong oxidising agents.

11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION (health effects)

EYES: Causes irritation. Vapour may cause irritation.
SKIN: Defats the skin. May cause irritation.
INHALATION: Mist and vapours may cause irritation to nose and respiratory tract. Vapours may cause headaches, dizziness and central nervous system depression.
INGESTION: May cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. Aspiration of liquid during ingestion or vomiting may cause severe chemical pneumonitis.
CHRONIC: Repeated and prolonged skin contact may lead to skin disorders. Long term vapour inhalation can cause kidney damage.
OTHER: None known.

11.INFORMACIÓN TOXICOLÓGICA (efectos sobre la salud)

Volatile organic compounds undergo photochemical degradation in the atmosphere.
Bioaccumulative potential: Bioaccumulative, however with short retention period of the order of one week or less.
Ecotoxicity: Moderately ecotoxic to marine organisms.
