7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

Avoid inhaling the vapour. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Store in clean, dry conditions between 5 and 40⁰ C away from direct sunlight. Keep container closed and ensure label intact and legible.

10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY

Solution is stable under normal conditions. Avoid temperatures above 50⁰ C and direct sunlight. Corrosive gas is released on heating. Avoid sources of ignition. Incompatible chemicals - strong bases which react generating heat, and metals which produce a flammable gas, Hydrogen.

11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION

Causes burns and is destructive to tissue of the mucous membranes and upper respiratory tract, eyes and skin. Inhalation may cause spasm, inflammation and edema of the larynx and bronchii, chemical pneumonitis and pulmonary edema. Symptoms of exposure may include burning sensation, coughing, wheezing, laryngitis, shortness of breath, headache, nausea and vomiting.
